The village where I was born has a proud and interestning history, especially when it comes to music. There are a few people which I personally remember or know of who has played an important role in swedish music education. They deserve to be remembered for their work and efforts.
The first and maybe one of the most important persons from the music history of Öjebyn, -who many musicians today remember was Curt Forsberg, legendary clarinet player and head of the school Framnäs where many generations of teachers and musicians started their careers. He was slightly mad and had a special sense of humor. Though I was very young when I first met him I remember his crazy and witty appearance. He used to visit my father in the bakery and chat a while. I think he made a great work in inspiring young people in the beginning of their careers. I have not found much about him on the internes, so I guess my few lines are very few, but probably the only ones that pays him a tribute. Probably there are articles and chapters in books who describe his work but I don´t know any of them. Somebody should write the history of this age and history of Norrbotten.
